The CLEANING SERVICES PROJECT,is the most one well orgnised project of ASSIST Rwanda which is mostly managed by beneficiaries themselves.
The cleaning services project was given the initial priority due to its positive problem solving influence among the child head families. ASSIST-Rwanda signs cleaning services contracts on behalf of the youth/CHH on renewable terms. The financial incomes made monthly are managed by them and caters for the needs of their families and the day to day running of the project |

In the year 2006, four hundred fifty (450) child headed households were assisted in this regard. The head of the child headed household is employed and paid monthly salary, which enables him/her, to look after the young siblings. The majority of the families being helped by the organisation are composed of five (5) members. The heads of these families are employed as office messengers and cleaners

Their monthly salaries range from fifteen thousand francs (15.000 Frw) to forty two thousand (42.000 Few) depending up on the budget of the concerned institutions and subsequent contract signed between the institutions and ASSIST-RWANDA organisation.
In addition to employment provided to project’s beneficiaries, disciplinary instructions through regular meetings were conducted. They were also given various lessons in line with child rights, HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention & care, reproductive health and nutrition, unity, reconciliation and peace building. |

In order to reach developmental goal in child head households, beneficiaries in cleaning services project were helped during the year to obtain a bank loans from a local micro finance CO-OPEC UBAKA currently situated at Remera .By this , sixty five (65) beneficiaries , of them received these loans. The number decreased due to closure on CO-OPEC INTAMBE where the organisation and its beneficiaries had accounts. They pay in a minimum of six (6) months
